If you are looking for a place to fit in, friends that will
accept you “how you are” and fun and fellowship, UMYF is for YOU!
In a big church, it is easy to get lost in the masses but UMYF
will offer you a place to plug into! You will find friends that
have something in common with you and you will experience the
ups and downs of life while you are supported with other people
that have the same faith in God that you do! The “downs” won’t
be quite so bad with a great group of friends and counselors to
support you!
Heard of peer pressure? This will be a great way to deal with
the things peer pressure brings!
Williamson' Chapel offers Sunday School for youth during all three of our Worship times on Sunday morning.
Please see our
Sunday School Page for more detailed information on all of our Sunday School classes.

2010 Youth Health Form
It is time to renew your Youth Health Forms. This form contains all of the medical/health/insurance information that we usually ask for each and every trip. The idea is to have a form for each youth that will be attending outings with the Williamson's Chapel youth group. You fill it out once at the beginning of the year and have it notarized (please make sure you sign the form in front of the notary and be prepared to show ID). Unless any of your child's health or insurance information changes you will not have fill it out again until 2011. Please be aware that at times conference forms may still need to be completed (as is the case with Kaleidoscope).
This form needs to be notarized and Libra Pitts is a notary, so if needed you can stop by the church office to have the form notarized.

WILLIAMSON’S CHAPEL SCHOLARSHIP
Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church is committed to encouraging the young people who are part of our congregation in the pursuit of higher education. A family in the church has created an endowment fund, the earnings of which are used to provide a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior high school student to be applied to the tuition at a college of their choice. In order to be considered for the scholarship, the student must be a regular attendee or member of Williamson's Chapel UMC, complete an application and submit an essay. The application form and the essay requirements may be obtained at the desk in the narthex, from the church office, or on the Williamson's Chapel web site. Applications must be submitted by August 1.
(Note: Anyone may add to the endowment fund by simply designating it on your contribution envelope or check. If the fund grows sufficiently, it will be possible to provide more than one scholarship for deserving students. Granting of the scholarship is not based on need, but on the commitment of the student as demonstrated in the essay.)

Do Hard Things, Six week Youth Bible Study |
9/12/2010
Do Hard Things, by Alex and Brett Harris
10:45 - Noon
Sunday mornings starting Sept. 12
Six week Bible Study
A growing movement of young people is rebelling against the low expectations of today's culture by choosing to "do hard things" for the glory of God. And Alex and Brett Harris are leading the charge.
Do Hard Things is the Harris twins' revolutionary message in its purest and most compelling form, giving readers a tangible glimpse of what is possible for teens who actively resist cultural lies that limit their potential.
Combating the idea of adolescence as a vacation from responsibility, the authors weave together biblical insights, history, and modern examples to redefine the teen years as the launching pad of life. Then they map out five powerful ways teens can respond for personal and social change.
Written by teens for teens, Do Hard Things is packed with humorous personal anecdotes, practical examples, and stories of real-life rebelutionaries in action. This rallying cry from the heart of an already-happening teen revolution challenges a generation to lay claim to a brighter future, starting today.
