8:15 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. Sunday School Classes

PRESCHOOL & CHILDREN:

Cradle Nursery (Ages birth-3)
Location: Lower Level B101
The children receive care and supervised play as well as exposing them to the name of God and Jesus, to family, to church, and to themselves.

Ages 4 - 1st Grade
Location: Lower Level Room B106
Before each class starts, children have a time of discussion about God and how God helps them through the week. Then they look at the Bible verse for the week. The children study how God helped the people in the Bible and how God helps them. The children are encouraged to pray and talk about anything at any time, not just on Sunday. After story time, the children do work sheets and/or crafts that help the children to recall the story.

2nd Grade - 5th Grade
Location: Lower Level Room B110
Children are taught to be aware and know that certain stories and verses come from the Bible. They will name and locate the two main divisions of the Bible – the Old Testament and the New Testament. They will have story time and crafts each week that help children to know the Bible and its stories better.


Youth (Grades 6-12)

Middle School - Location Room A204

Youth are helped to better understand the Bible and how it applies to their daily lives. They are encouraged to develop habits that promote Christian growth and to demonstrate a Christian life-style.


ADULT:

Alpha and Omega Class
Location: Lower Level Room B204
Teachers: John Dyer
The Alpha & Omega class enjoys time of fellowship with one another. They use a variety of curriculum resources and study topics such as Managing Your Money, The Letters of Paul and Family Values. The lessons are lecture with plenty of discussion. The class consists of couples and singles, ranging in age from their early 20’s and older.

A Brand New Sunday School Class
Location: Room B201
Teacher: Jerry Nuckles
Begins September 7th
This class will study the life and times of Jesus Christ. Open to all ages and stages.

Age 2
Location: Lower Level Room B105
The children learn more about themselves, their church, their world and God. They read a story about different Biblical characters, then color and work with related materials. Loving care is shown and fun in play is encouraged.

Age 3
Location: Lower Level Rooms B106
The children learn more about themselves, their church, their world and God. They read a story about different Biblical characters, then color and work with related materials. Loving care is shown and fun in play is encouraged.

Pre-Kindergarten
Location: Lower Level Rooms B102 & B108
The children enjoy hearing songs before class and then are told a Bible story. Children are then introduced to projects that help reinforce the Bible story.

Kindergarten
Location: Lower Level Room B109
The Children enjoy each other's company and talking together about God's Word. The children begin their time together with a song and a Bible story. Then they do crafts that relate to the story.

CHILDREN:

Grade 1
Location: Lower Level Rooms A104

The main focus of the class is to show students the need for Bible study because of its relevance for today’s world, and to assist them in examining what it means to have a personal relationship with Christ.

YOUTH:

Middle School and High School (Grades 6-12)
Location: A109

Youth are helped to better understand the Bible and how it applies to their daily lives. They are encouraged to develop habits that promote Christian growth and to demonstrate a Christian life-style.
Youth are taught in variety of ways from discussions, readings and videos. The youth are challenged to define who they are and who others think they are. The Youth begin to deal with Christian values paralleling the development of their independence.


ADULT:

Men’s Bible Class
Location: B202
Teachers: Robert Howard & Sonny Oakley
This is an older men’s class that uses the standard Methodist Curriculum. They are normally taught in a lecture style with some discussion.

Adult Sonshine Class
Location: B204
Teachers: Nancy Andersen, Jody Hartsell, Claude Hartsell
The Sonshine Class is made up of men and women ranging from their mid 50’s and older. They use the Methodist Curriculum and are normally taught by lecture or discussion style. The teachers teach on a rotating basis.

Fellowship Class
Location: B201
Teachers: Scott Price, Henry Deal
The Fellowship Class enjoys time of fellowship before the lesson. They use a variety of curriculum resources. The lessons are lecture with plenty of discussion. The class consists of couples and singles ranging in age from their late 30’s and older.


Seeker’s Class
Location: A111
Teachers: Ed Watson
The New Faith class enjoys time of fellowship with one another. They use a Methodist standard curriculum. The lessons are lecture with plenty of discussion. The class consists of couples and singles, ranging in age from their early 20’s and older.

Singles & Doubles
Location: B111
Teacher: Evelyn Barbour
The Singles & Doubles class does an intensive study of the Bible. For example, they may spend a quarter on the Parables of Jesus, Solomon’s Temple, or the book of Psalms. The class consists of couples and singles ranging in age from their late 20’s and older.

Adult B.I.B.L.E. Class

The class consists of couples and singles, all age ranges are represented. A variety of curriculum is being used.

Singles Sunday School Class
Location: B204
Teachers: Karen Connell and Sue Wallace
Singles of all ages are invited to join this class. A variety of curriculum resources are used.
