Two Contemporary Worship Position Openings

Williamson’s Chapel UMC, a 2,000-member congregation in the Lake Norman community of Mooresville, NC (known as “Race City USA”) located thirty miles north of Charlotte, is currently seeking to fill two positions:

Director of Contemporary Worship:
We seek a full-time a spiritually mature, musically gifted, creative leader to direct our contemporary worship on Saturday night and 9:30 Sunday morning. This person must have a passion for helping people of all ages connect with God and possess skills in leading a variety of musicians, vocalists/choirs, technology workers, and others involved in worship arts such as dance, drama, and audio-visual aids. This person also needs to have a vision for growth and understanding of ways for bringing greater numbers of unchurched people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. This will require a flexible, teachable spirit and a love for working in a team environment. Candidates should have proven experience in a large church (500+ attendance) and be comfortable in a mainline denomination. This person will report to the senior pastor.

Campus Worship Leader:
We also seek a part-time per week energetic, gifted worship leader for our campus location (at lake Norman High School) set to launch in September. This person must also be spiritually mature, humble, and able to work with a variety of vocalists and musicians; relate well to a young unchurched generation; and have experience in drawing people into worship. This person will report to the campus pastor and the Director of Contemporary Worship.

Candidates for both positions should be comfortable in a mainline denomination and demonstrate excellent musical skills and discernment for facilitating spirit-led worship.
