New 9:30 (6 Week) Class! Starting September 5 JOY Room A203 led by Herman & Anita Jordan (Marks parents!) Is there a need in your life today for more JOY? Today most of the things we read in the paper or hear over the news has very little to say about JOY, and of all people, Christians have the greatest source to experience JOY in their lives. Did you know that there are over 200 references of the word JOY in the Bible? Now if God mentioned it that many times in His Word, dont you think He wants us to experience JOY? Christian writer, Tommy Newberry has made these statements about JOY: Joy is an outward sign of inward faith in the promises of God. Joy is within us, but it must be released. We would like for you to join us in exploring, learning, and applying joyful living through the study of Gods Word on Sunday mornings. Philippians 4:4... Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice! (Childrens Sunday School and Nursery Provided)

C.S. Lewis Study (Movie and Book) 6:00- 7:00 PM Room A201 Mere Christianity $21.00 September 8-October 13 We will start off by watching the movie, Through The Shadowlands. This film is about the agonizing spiritual crisis of C.S. Lewis when his wife died from cancer. The love, grief, pain, and sorrow were so shattering to Lewis that his basic Christian beliefs, magnificently communicated in his many books, were now called into serious doubt. But he picked up the pieces and moved out of the depressing shadowlands, realizing that real life has not even begun yet. Then the class will read Mere Christianity. Expanded into a book form, Mere Christianity, never flinches as it sets out a rational basis for Christianity and builds an edifice of compassionate morality atop this foundation. As Mr. Lewis clearly demonstrates, Christianity is not a religion of flitting angels and blind faith, but of free will, an innate sense of justice and the grace of God. Then they map out five powerful ways teens can respond for personal and social change. Written by teens for teens, Do Hard Things is packed with humorous personal anecdotes, practical examples, and stories of real-life rebelutionaries in action. REGISTER FOR Fearless

11:00 AM-12:00 Noon Room B201 Book $10.00 led by Daniel Richart October 17-November 21 Fear seems to be in the drivers seat these days. People are troubled and anxious. Finances are tumbling, rockets are launching, and seemingly solid institutions are teetering. It is tough for folks to know where to turn. In this book, Max Lucado examines Jesus statements about fear and encourages us to take heart in difficult times. The antidote to the fear epidemic? Trust. If we trust God more, we can fear less. What a comforting promise. (Childrens Programming Provided)

11:00 AM-12:00 Noon Room A204 led by Lawrence Salmon Bring your Bible October 17-November 21 The Book of Revelation makes us nervous. Even a person who has never read a word of the Bible has heard about Revelation. We hear about various colored horses, the Anti-Christ, the seven seals, trumpets, and bowls, the beast, and know it is apocalyptic, but we get nervous just the same. When we get enough courage to actually read the book, it starts out pretty mild, but it gets frightfully ugly fast and we close it quickly, preferring to read something less threatening. No one fully understands this book and many of the mysteries will remain unsolved. We will not agree with everything but, as Christians, we can grasp and understand much of what John saw and wrote. We will wrestle through this book but we will come away blessed with the knowledge that our Lord Jesus Christ is victorious, and we, as His faithful saints, will persevere.
