"I give you a new commandment, that you love one another.
Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By
this everyone will know that you are my disciple, if you have
love for one another."
Jesus, John 13:34-35
"Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill
the law of Christ…So let us not grow weary in doing what is
right, for we will reap at harvest-time, if we do not give up.
So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the
good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith."
St. Paul, Galatians 6:2,9-10
Congregational Care at Williamson’s
Chapel offers encouragement, practical support and
prayer to people in need. Williamson’s Chapel has a
dynamic CARE team that offers pastoral care for
individuals in our church family. If you are in need of
pastoral care in any way, prayer and a visit pre or
post-surgery, going through a difficult time in life,
grieving the death of a loved one, someone from our CARE
team will be more than happy to be with you in presence
and in prayer.
Jesus was very clear that a significant part of our
ministry for Him was to care for one another in love.
For that reason, Williamson’s Chapel is intentional
about offering ministries to meet the needs--spiritual,
emotional, physical, and relational -
of all that God
brings our way. Our CARE team seeks to fulfill Jesus'
command.
Our desire is to meet the needs of all those connected
to Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church as
commanded by Christ. We have a network of people who are
dedicated to Jesus and this ministry of caring for His
people.
CARE TEAM
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”
John 15:12
Following the tradition of the early church, all Christians are
called to minister to each other in times of need. As lay
pastors, our intention is to convey Christian love and concern
to those members or friends of our congregation who are facing
life’s difficulties. Illness or aging often cuts one off from
the corporate worship experience and can bring about feelings of
isolation or loneliness. Our mission is to keep those suffering
from illness, facing surgery, aging, grieving, hospitalized, or
recovering from any crisis event encircled within our
congregational love and care by meeting individually with them
on a regular basis during their time of need. Correspondence
between team members occurs at regular monthly meetings, email,
and phone contact.

pastor at Williamson's Chapel, please contact Ceil Weber at

The Williamson's Chapel Prayer Team prays daily for each name
on the prayer list. At the first of the month, the prayer
list is divided among the team members and cards are sent to
each name on the list that has an address provided. The church
supplies the cards, team members supply postage. Members write a
personal note of encouragement or include an uplifting Bible
verse inside the cards. Members are responsible for 12 - 15
cards per month. Correspondence between members is through
e-mail, no meetings to attend.

Team, please contact Ceil Weber at

PRAYER SHAWL TEAM
The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a way to use creativity to reach
out to people who are in need of comforting. Many of our
recipients are dealing with grief or health issues. The prayer
shawl is a tangible evidence of prayer. We are repeatedly told
how comforting it is to know that the recipient is being prayed
for. We also give Baptismal Blankets to infants who are baptized
in our church. Our meetings are also fun….filled with chatter as
we learn from each other and exchange news of our lives while we
work on our projects.
Please join us on the first and third Sundays at 5:30 pm or
the second and fourth Tuesdays at 11:00 am in room A111.
