WWW-Bridges Out of Poverty
1/11/2012

If you didn't grow up in poverty, you may be unaware of the "hidden rules" that govern many aspects of life for the poor. People in poverty are often in survival mode and support systems taken for granted in middle class are largely nonexistent. For those of us who have grown up and still live in the middle class, a deeper understanding of their challenges--and strengths--helps immeasurably in learning to all work together toward ending poverty in our community. Bible Study - Revelation
1/11/2012

Revelation, Led by Larry McGinnis, 6:00—7:00 pm, (12 Weeks) Room A203, Starting on January 11th, Bring your Bible. The Book of Revelation makes us nervous. Even a person who has never read a word of the Bible has heard about Revelation. We hear about various colored horses, the "Anti-Christ,” the seven seals, trumpets, bowls, and the beast. We know it is "apocalyptic," but we get nervous just the same. We will wrestle through this book but we will come away blessed with the knowledge that our Lord Jesus Christ is victorious, and we, as His faithful saints, will persevere.

However, that doesn’t mean God’s Word isn’t full of humor and joy. In fact, Chuck Swindoll points out that Philippians is one of the most joy-filled books in the Bible, and its truths can fill your life with joy. Everyone is welcome.
